Nervous system monitoring in the positioning process of cervical myelopathy surgery: a case report

Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) can help prevent permanent neurological damage during cervical myelopathy surgery. However, injuries occur positioning before A 61-year-old man had symptoms of hypoesthesia and motor weakness due to ossification the posterior longitudinal ligament compressing spinal cord. The surgery involved anterior corpectomy decompression fusion with IONM. Preoperative evoked potential (MEP) somatosensory (SSEP) studies were performed, revealing delays in MEP SSEP latency.
